UTS Global has a Linux 390 server product which supports STK silo. In addition, it allows other Linux LPARs and VM/Linus Guess to share it.

Harold, VERITAS is supposed to have a Linux-390 client in their NetBackup 5.0 product.

From all the feedback, it appears there are 4 viable solutions for us : - Upstream S/390 Linux - Tivoli Storage Manager - Brightstor Enterprise Backup. - amanda.
I have given all the info to our storage guy and he will probably decide where we go from here.
