It can be actually even easier than that if you enable the signals in the SYSTEM CONFIG something like this: Set shutdowntime 30 /* system default - this is for VM */ Set Signal SHutdowntime 300 /* for guests to shutdown - deflt 0 */ Then you don't have to do a thing! Just shutdown VM - or even deativate the LPAR!
