I am also concerned that the 'protection money' does not really buy much
more than what I get from the many forums. I understand that $10K for
install support is email-only support.

If Novell tries to kill the golden goose then they wont be able to count
the eggs.

There are many here and outside who are quite capable of creating and
supporting distros. Personally I would seriously look at Debian or
something like that...

But I live in the corporate world ... he he :-)

That money doesn't get you service, just maintenance for one year. I
believe that includes the right to upgrade to a new release within that
same
time period. If you want support, that is extra.

With the answers I have ben getting about the SuSE side of things today I
wonder what you get for $15K. If their service is as good as their sales I
don't think I want it. I think I'm getting to old for this business..;-(
What ever happened to service?

Getting old with a lot less patience....
Dave
