Yes u can that is also in the manual that you reference. I will be moving 13 Linux 
Guests over to FCP in about 2-3 weeks so i will tell you all how it goes, If you are 
interested.

That would be something that needs support in the installer.  I don't know
if either Red Hat or SUSE have that support in their Linux/390 installers.
I believe they do not, but would welcome corrections.

I have read how to "copy" an existing Linux image to an FCP attached SCSI
drive, then IPling it.  This is well documented in Redbook sg246344.  I
didn't read anything that explains how (or if you can) install a fresh image
onto an FCP drive.

Any thoughts?
