You need to run the SALIPL program to provide default parameters that can
be used during an IPL.

Thanks. Duane Fink gave me this to try and it worked:
salipl 123 (extent 1 iplparms cons=sysg

But as mentioned, I had to leave the integrated 3270 console open. It
would be nice if z/VM does not care for the integrated console.
