I bet your Samba server has more than one interface? If so, you can eliminate these by adjusting the "bind =" parameter in smb.conf so that Samba only binds to the external interface (or the list of interfaces you provide in the bind list). If you're not running Windows 95/98 clients you could shut down NMBD, I think. Samba only uses it for supporting the broadcast NetBIOS support, and all those two messages are telling you is that it is hearing only its own broadcasts, usually from another interface.
