I think that there are parts of the service packs that are not GPLed code.  I 
know that YaST is not GPL, and I think there are others.

If you want to run only GPL code, and you don't want to buy support I suggest 
you use Debian.

If you make avaliable a copy of SP2 oe SP3 from Suse you will not be a
Napster . If you don't remember Suse and Linux for s/390 still a GPL
software . So you can share that with anyone with no charge for you or
anybody .
