When the guest loads the proper disabled PSW after a signal shutdown,
CP will logoff that virtual machine. That should be all you need.

There is also the two kernel command line options that tell Linux what
CP command to issue when the shutdown completed for other reasons
(e.g. because you did a shutdown -h yourself). You can put LOGOFF in
there.
