One possibility is get and run wget on a Win PC to mirror the Novell
patch directories onto your local LAN or PC hard drive, then access the
local LAN or hard drive as a samba share on Linux; point YOU to the
mounted the samba share and apply the patches.

Or use a u*ix/linux server to run wget to mirror the patch site and then
share it to your Linux guests with NFS

Subject: setting up a patch server

My security group will not allow me to use a proxy to get out to the new
novell server at https://you.novell.com <https://you.novell.com/> . They
are telling me to set up a patch server and not go thru yast online
update.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this ?
