You're not serious in suggesting that you want Linux to try and read the label of all DASD devices that your LPAR may possibly see, are you?. In a virtual machine I could imagine you may want to go after all disks, but probably not in LPAR installation. Even though we tell people to restrict access in the LPAR profile.
