I guess I would test it.

1) Run a test without a Crypto processor assigned to the LPAR/Guest and
monitor the CPU while runing GPG on a number of files. Monitor the
standard CPU utilization.

2) Then reassign a Crypto processor to the LPAR/Guest and re-run the
same tests. Monitor the standard CPU utilization.

If there are significant differences between (1) and (2) then you have
your proof :-)

You could repeat the above tests with different encryption algorithms too.
