I reckon my new used Thinkpad* (R40 2722-GDM for the curious) is better
than the Mac notebooks I've seen. Good battery life, reasonable-sized
disk, excellent screen (1440x1050), a vacant slot into which I popped
another Gb RAM, 11abg wireless. Likes penguins.
*Mrs S thought I was calling it a StinkPad.
