I have SLES8 with GNU wget 1.8.2 and SLES9 with GNU wget 1.9.1
Do you know if either of those supports NTLM authentication?

The SLES 9 wget man page says  wget uses the "basic" authentication
scheme; it doesn't mention NTLM auth.

I think you need to use a script wrapped around the curl command to do
this.  
There is a Perl script on the curl web site to do this:
http://curl.haxx.se/programs/curlmirror.txt

Also, what version of wget are you using?  Newer versions support NTLM 
authentication.
