I would like to know if Software AG does offer a JDBC driver. A ODBC driver
would be nice also. The last time I checked they didn't offer either.

Adabase is not relational, so it has been a little tricky for them to handle
SQL.

What is a BRE?

I would expect that Adabas provides a JDBC driver for their product. Have you
asked them?

If your developers think that having a MySQL replica of an Adabas database is a
good idea, I'd say it's more like you're flashing back to the '60s.
