As long as the VSWITCH controller machine and the TCPIP stack are two
different virtual machines, that shouldn't cause a problem. It's just
another network stack, or (if not), it should be. 

Now that 5.2 and higher ship with predefined VSWITCH controllers
separate from the stack, I'd actually expect this to become the default
configuration in the future.
