Apache and Perl work fine on Linux 390. Apache comes as part of Centos and I think Perl does to. Perl did not come with the prior release of Centos. I down loaded it from somewhere and, anyway, it works fine.
really? perl has been an essential part of RHL (and therefore CentOS) as long as i can recall - back to RHL 3.0.3 or so.
I'm pretty sure Apache comes with about any Linux 390 release, Perl may or may not.
I just did a test erase of perl on a CentOS4 box. There were so many objections I'm sceptical that any successful general-purpose Linux distro could be created.
I don't have any experience with PHP. Hope that helps. Steve G.
