how have you configured the PORTTYPE on the vswitch? Access or trunk? If it's an access port what you show makes senses. If you want to use a vlan on IPSTACK how have you set this up, VCONFIG command? David

Our network folks have configured their 6509 connection to our OSAs with 1 vlan - 147. If I define my VSWITCH with a default VLAN ID of 147 and then "grant IPSTACK vlan 147" - all is OK - I can PING etc. However if I define the VSWITCH with a different VLAN ID I cannot PING etc. I assume that the switch will tag any packets coming from IPSTACK with vlan 147 so I should always be able to PING etc even if the default VLAN is not 147. What's the problem here? Me? Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
