Ok, so which is it?  Is CMS capable of running multitasking
programs, or not?  Way back when, GCS was introduced so that
certain IBM products could run in a multitasking environment,
because that wasn't possible with CMS.  (I believe it was VTAM, but
I'm not at all sure about that.)  What has changed/what is
necessary for CMS to run native multitasking programs today?  I'm
not looking for an in-depth tutorial here, but I do want to
understand the current capabilities and limitations of CMS so I
don't go spreading misinformation.

CMS multiasking is possible with the Reusable Server Kernel (RSK).
