Thanks. In reality, there's nothing new under the sun. By that I mean that all computer systems do pretty much the same things; they just do them in slightly different ways and use different terminology.
I've been in this business for more than thirty years, working on everything from mainframes to PC's to DEC minicomputers in the seventies and a couple of specialized dedicated processors. This gives one a perspective about these things. I have the advantage over a kid fresh out of college in that I don't have to learn the underlying concepts. I just need to learn the terminology and some of the basic commands. I usually know WHAT I want to do; I just need a little help in HOW to do it.
