So the conclusion is that when a fair amount of the workload is done
by (purchased) zAAP or zIIP, then moving that away will not reduce
your z/OS software charges a lot. The usage reduction of CPs should be
compared against the cost of purchasing IFLs and z/VM. Maybe IBM will
take your used zAAP and zIIP and convert them to IFL at reduced price.

Be aware you're doing apple and pear comparison. WAS on Linux is
different in resource consumption from WAS on z/OS. And DB/2 on z/OS
is functionally different from the DB2 UDB on Linux. It may fit your
needs, but it's not the same.
