When, in recent memory, have System z or zSeries hardware processor prices increased? How would they (IBM) be justified in raising just the price of an IFL? It would be counterintuitive to their current push for more Linux on System z versus z/OS and/or Wintel/.Net/Unix consolidations and deployments.
