Yes, but the dispatcher has to know how/when to direct a sub-task to the zAAP. 
It doesn't happen just because you have JAVA and a zAAP.

No. There are no application changes required.
It's all in the dispatcher.

Just because you have a zAAP (or a zIIP) installed, it doesn't mean stuff will 
run over there automatically.
You need appropriate levels of JAVA, z/OS (no other OS will do), DB2, and any 
other software that can exploit the specialty engines.

zLINUX does not have any exploitation support.
