Given that with proper hardware and software support in z/VM the default appears to enable the option, the effect depends on whether the customer upgrades to SP1. If there is a good reason not to use the feature, installations could just disable it on system level rather than depend on what the virtual machine decides. Unless it is the code in Linux SP1 that requires we don't use it...
