Bobby:

You left out the most important piece of information - what
application software are you using? If WebSphere Application
Server 512MB is way too small. If WebSphere Portal WAY WAY too
small. For many applications it is not just the memory available
to Linux that is important, but how much you tell the application
to use. For example, with Portal you have to tell Portal how much
memory to use for content cache (default appears to be 0).
