It looks like at least the first part of the 150 disk is OK, since the boot loader was able to present the menu. The error message after that seems to indicate it can't find the kernel to continue. Make sure you were able to download the complete files. Non-compliant web browsers such as IE have caused a number of people problems in the past. When you uploaded the .vmarc files to z/VM, what were the file attributes? RECFM, LRECL, number of blocks, etc.?
