The error message after that seems to indicate it can't find the kernel to continue. Make sure you were able to download the complete files. Non-compliant web browsers such as IE have caused a number of people problems in the past. When you uploaded the .vmarc files to z/VM, what were the file attributes? RECFM, LRECL, number of blocks, etc.?
