I there some cookbook or other FM that would help me to understand the how's and why's of splitting up the filesystems onto various volume groups and mountpoints? If you've already broken out your other file systems, as Pieter talked about, then something is wrong. But, what gets dumped into / doesn't change much with additional packages being installed.
