Given /dev/dasdx to be added to lv1 on vg1: pvcreate /dev/dasdx1 vgextend vg1 /dev/dasdx1 vgdisplay vg1 (and note the free space) lvextend -L +xxG /dev/vg1/lv1
It used to be ext2online to extend the filesystem after adding space to the lv.. but resize2fs may do it online now as well..
