Nope, it's Layer 2.  If I tried to use a Layer 3, it didn't work.  (It would 
appear to, but the system wouldn't think there was a link established.)  It may 
be that the MAC is viewed as being the same by the kernel, but the VSWITCH 
doesn't modify it's control blocks to match.
