Hi Listers,
Has anyone encountered problems trying to communicate between guests on
different subnets ?

Our setup:

- 1 LPAR

- 4 VSWITCH ( vsw422, vsw431, vsw416, vsw428 )

- 4 VLANS ( vlan 422, vlan 431, vlan 416, vlan 428 )

- 4 subnets, each subnet mapped to a vlan

- Numerous linux guests

Initial setup

- all guests on vlan 422

- mtu=8992 all guests
New setup

- development guests moved to vlan 431
Problems encountered :

- from guest422

# ping guest431 (OK)

# ping -s 65467 guest431 ( hangs, ctlr-c to breakout )

# traceroute guest431 (OK)

# traceroute guest431 65467 ( continuous "* * *", ctlr-c to breakout )

# tracepath guest431 ( continuous "no reply", ctlr-c to breakout )

- from guest431

# ping guest422 (OK)

# ping -s 65467 guest422 ( hangs, ctlr-c to breakout )

# traceroute guest422 (OK)

# traceroute guest422 65467

( looks like it works, 1st hop is * * *, eventually gets to guest422 )

# tracepath guest422 ( continuous "no reply", ctrl-c to breakout )

Any ideas ?
