Hi Listers,
Has anyone encountered problems trying to communicate between guests on
different subnets ?
Our setup:
- 4 VLANS ( vlan 422, vlan 431, vlan 416, vlan 428 )
This is probably the key. You have 4 VLANS. To communicate between the
vlans you must have a router/firewall that is attached to both vlans. It
must be configured to allow traffic to flow between the vlans. Whenever
I have problems getting from one vlan to another I tell our network
people to fix it. They always want to know the IP addresses and ports
involved, then they fix it. The router/firewall may be a special box or
it may be a Linux server that the network people configure. Most of the
network hardware routers/firewalls/switches run Linux in their firmware.
