William, The easiest way to create a qeth device is to use the qeth_configure command /sbin/qeth_configure [options] <read chan> <write chan> <control chan> <online> In your case you can try: qeth_configure 0.0.0c00 0.0.0c01 0.0.0c02 1
This will create the ccwgroup and bring it online, but it also creates the udev configuration file Samir Reddahi www.securex.be From: "Scully, William P" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Date: 14/12/2010 21:00 Subject: Red Hat 6 qeth device driver failed to recover Sent by: Linux on 390 Port <[email protected]> I'm running a DDR-copy of RH6 on a second-level z/VM 5.3 system.
