The "echo $DISPLAY" shows localhost:10.0. 

Whatever that means

Maybe your DISPLAY variable is not set in your environment?  If it isn't, YaST
will use the ncurses interface instead of X.  Once logged in, do "echo
$DISPLAY" to see if it is set or not.
