Well, kind of depends on the distributions settings: h4245006:~ # cat /etc/SuSE-release SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (s390x) VERSION = 11 PATCHLEVEL = 1 h4245006:~ # ulimit -v 816320 I can't image cmsfs-fuse is the only program that will hit that limit by creating a memory maping bigger than ~800MB.
