If anyone's interested, I've created a couple of zLinux "appliances", one based on Debian Wheezy and the other based on Gentoo 3.0.17, for z/VM. Both are s390x architecture and have all of the z/VM goodies built-in. I can make available the 3390 DASD image files, suitable for restoring to a real 3390, or emulated 3390 on both Hercules and zPDT systems, as well as IPL-able NSS files.
Drop me a note off lsit if there is any interest....
