Here's what I get on the SLES install program on z/VM:

/ # mount 10.250.24.67:/tmp/iso /tmp/testit               
/ # ls -l /tmp/testit                                     
drwxr-xr-x    2 0        0              40 Mar  7 16:45 . 
drwxrwxrwt    3 0        0              60 Mar  7 16:45 ..
/ # ls -l 10.250.24.67:/tmp/iso                           
10.250.24.67:/tmp/iso: No such file or directory          
/ #
