Hipersockets may be slightly higher performance (key word:*may*) within a 
single CEC, but the general annoyance/complexity involved in making 
hipersockets work is a significant downside. 

Shared OSAs are far simpler to define and use, and the only limitation is how 
many cards you can fit into the frame. Empirical observations look like the 
OSAs are faster as well (and can be bridged between CECs w/o magic hardware 
features).
