but there is also a problem somewhere :-) Using the "condev" string is
supposed to enable the console device detected by the kernel so you
won't have enabled just the hardcoded usual 0.0.0009 device when the
real console would live under another id.

Agblad, could you open a bug or support request for it so it can be
properly tracked?
