For EDEVICE use, z/VM supports direct point-to-point or SAN attachment to
DS8000, XIV, Storwize V700, and IBM Flashsystems only.  All other SCSI
devices for EDEVICE use must be attached via SAN Volume Controller (SVC).

These restrictions do not apply to non-EDEVICE use by Linux.
