Rick and I saw this "dracut-initqueue timeout" message today,
during what should have been a uneventful install
It is a horrid message from the installer in that it does not
suggest that network retrieval problems are in play. Also
there HAS to be an option to NOT try to use: Open-iSCSI, or if
not site local appropriate: Device-Mapper Multipath
(note to self -- file some bugs on this)
I _think_ that the: Show Plymouth Boot part may be suppressed
by adding to the kernel boot options at this point [but am
not sure]:
plymouth.enable=0
(testing needed)
1. it was NOT a local network install, but rather across the
internet (the later may work, but local is better as it
permits disgnosing slow networking and so forth)
2. TUI, under znetboot
The installer, Anaconda, did what it could and even did a
retry after a timeout, but without success on attaining an
install
I am still pulling a local mirror of the 7.5 'as shipped'
updates, and have noticed some 'hangs' in that process as
well. It is unclear if the congestion is on my local 'last
hop', at the upstream, or somewhere in between
... it scarcely matters -0- one needs good connectivity for
installs
