ifconfig
Without any parameters, ifconfig will only show network interfaces that
are "up". If you want to see all interfaces "ifconfig -a" will do that,
even if they are not active.
Other commands that might show the current status are "lsqeth,"
"lszdev," and "lscss". With the lscss command, make sure that device
numbers 0.0.0360, 0.0.0361, and 0.0.0362 all show "yes" in the "Use" column.
If the interface was active previously, but is not now, something should
show up in dmesg, or one of the numerous system logs.

If I IPL the guest the issue is solve.
Just a simple re-IPL, or actually logging off and back on again?
