I agree, they suck. But if Motorola would put its 300MHz cores in
embedded processors it would be great. If I'm going to use a general
purpose CPU, I might as well use intel because there is more support for
it. (though recently I've been thinking that it isn't worth it, and the
740 or 750 might be better, even though it will be harder to design with.)
I'm also unclear on how much support there is for Luinux on the PPC chip.
