As to supporting Intel just because they have a stronger base does not 
make it any better it only says that you dont care about poor processors, 
that what they have is what you want...

Linux on PPC?  Yeah, there is support for it, I have a Mac Performa 
6400/200 which has a PPC603 chip inside and the last I heard PPC Linux 
supported it.  I tried putting it on the computer but my Jaz drive flaked 
out (I read about how bad they could be on the newsgroups but got one 
anyway and got burned!) on me, I may try again sometime but for now I 
have other priorities.
