There is another one, which bit me. You have something running on an IRQ or
IO address which is used by the temperature sensing hardware. The easiest
way to tell this is to go into the BIOS and take a look at the screen which
would normally show temperature, if it's not being displayed, take out a
card. Legacy ISA cards have a way of doing this, I had it happen with an
old ethernet card that I thought could get away with using.
