The bundling forced NS to give away the browser for free, cutting off
much of NS's revenue stream. In addition, MS's control of the OS gave
them access to better/modified OS API's for IE4. That plus the
billions in cash from OS profits MS had to put into IE development
gave it the advantage. It's far fetched to believe they could have
done it without the pre-existing monopoly in the OS market.

I: "Having found not one single carbon monoxide leak on the entire
premises, it is my belief, and Willard concurs, that the reason
you folks feel listless and disoriented is simply because
you are lazy, stupid people"
J: Loren's Petrich's 2-week stubborn refusal to respond to the
challenge to describe even one philosophical difference
between himself and the communists demonstrates that, in fact,
Loren Petrich is a COMMUNIST ***hole
A: The wise man is mocked by fools.
B: "Jeem" Dutton is a fool of the pathological liar sort.
C: Jet plays the fool and spews out nonsense as a method of
sidetracking discussions which are headed in a direction
that she doesn't like.
D: Jet claims to have killfiled me.
E: Jet now follows me from newgroup to newsgroup
...despite (D) above.
F: Neither Jeem nor Jet are worthy of the time to compose a
response until their behavior improves.
G: Unit_4's "Kook hunt" reminds me of "Jimmy Baker's" harangues against
adultery while concurrently committing adultery with Tammy Hahn.
H: Knackos...you're a retard.

Deluded about that and in denial mode about Linux.
The interesting question is, does he believe what he says, or is it just PR spin?

I agree fully. BeOS is probably the best OS (just on the merits of the
OS alone) that is available currently. Unfortunately, it isn't viable
as there is a huge lack of apps for it (I know there's some, but not
enough to justify using it all the time). I would dual boot for a while
and see which one gives you what you want. I did that for a while and
used BeOS for almost three months during the 4.x series of releases. It
was nice, and if you have no need for a *lot* of apps, it may be OK for
you. But if you like having lots of apps available, Linux is the better
choice.
