Of course it does. VC++ 6 was released before the standard was finalized.

The argument is specifically about Multiple Inheritance.

There was some form of investigation ongoing from about 1985+, however
almost all of them failed to produce anything.

94.

It's not a judges job to decide such things when the parties have reached a
settlement.

No, MS was exhonerated from the claims that they violated the consent
decree. They didn't. So, the DOJ, being the sore losers they are, decided
to bring an entirely new lawsuit against them.

True.

Breakup *IS* a structural remedy. You mean behavioral remedy.

It's the *MOST* intrusive.

Like the breakup didn't cast a pall over the company. It took 5-6 years to
recover.

We ran an NT4 backup domain controller on it, which was then promoted
to the primary domain controller while we upgraded the hardware in our
last-standing NT 4 server. Our entire NT domain was running under
VMWare on my Linux desktop. Quite amusing, to say the least. :)
Once the hardware upgrade was done, the real server was promoted and I
shut down my PDC.
