My blood pressure is fine.
When I was in Saudi Arabia, the battalion surgeon was giving everyone
de-mobilization physicals. Now...since I had been made the acting
Night Operations NCO, sat around for 6 months on my rear end eating
M&M's. Based on my blood pressure and pulse data (post-stress), he
thought I was a long-distance runner.
On my most recent physical, (about a year ago), the number had barely
changed.

Looks like "namespace std" is not yet included with gcc
$ g++ -v
Using builtin specs.
gcc version 2.95.3 [FreeBSD] 20010315 (release)
#include <iostream>
namespace mine {
int a=10;
char message[] = "Namespace mine.\n";
}
int main()
{
cout << "Hi there.\n";
cout << "a = " << mine::a << endl;
cout << mine::message;
return 0;
}
Output of this program:
Hi there.
a = 10
Namespace mine.
Ok, so if I strip out the mine:: namespace qualifiers, I get the
following error when I try to compile:
cout << "Hi there.\n";
cout << "a = " << a << endl;
$ g++ -O -o test test.cc
test.cc: In function `int main()':
test.cc:10: `a' undeclared (first use this function)
test.cc:10: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
test.cc:10: for each function it appears in.)
test.cc:11: `message' undeclared (first use this function)
