Debian Woody (3.0) shipped a mess of compilers -- 2.95 for most, 2.96
for ia64 and 3.0 for parisc.  That was released in July 2002.  Sarge
(3.1) shipped in June 2005 and uses GCC 3.3 on all architectures.
