Are you referring to Info generally, or to the standalone info viewer
(/usr/bin/info)?

The latter isn't much use, IMHO. I suspect that the reason that nobody
has bothered to improve it is that most programmers use (X)Emacs,
which has a perfectly good Info viewer built-in.

If you want to make any significant use of GNU software, you need to
be prepared to read the Info files.
