Thanks for the help so far...I have the system recognizing multiple
ethernet cards now.

My new problem:

The Bridging Mini-HOWTO says if you get the

     ioctl(SIOCGIFBR) failed: Package not installed

error, you should recompile the kernel with the BRIDGING option enabled.
The BRIDGING option does not appear in my list of choices for my 2.0.33
Slackware box.  I did install the BRCFG pakage through pkgtools.  I added
the CONFIG_BRIDGE=y manually to the /usr/src/linux/.config file.  Created
a new image.  There were no errors in make dep or make zImage.  It even
processed the bridge directories (I watched patiently).  All the
Bridge+Firewall mini-HOWTO instructions were followed, too...up to the
   3.9 Bridge Configuration
step.  It crashes with the above message on   brcfg -enable

Any more ideas?
